Merkel 303E Custom, over & under 28ga. shotgun. Special ordered by Sundog Firearms. Hand detachable sidelocks with custom engraved game scenes and Thistle garniture. Trap door is almost invisible on sideplate. 28” barrels choked Skeet and Improved cylinder. Double triggers. Straight English stock with a 14 3/8” LOP from front trigger to hard plastic butt. 40 coats of hand rubbed Tung oil. Magnificent finish and engraving by Dorothee Wage in Suhl, Germany. This gun has been shot, but is like new with lifetime warranty. Bushed firing pins, solid rib. Weighs 7lbs. Cast off and cant for Right hand shooter. Engraving is flying Chukars in a mountain rimrock scene on left side. Ruffed grouse flushing with pointing Wired haired dog in leafy wooded scene on right side.
